My VIP!!

The first week of November, Kade was his class VIP. We had to make a poster that told about him and what he likes. I got to come into his class and watch him do his presentation about himself. He was so cute. After he went over his poster, the kids all got a chance to ask him questions about him and then they sang a VIP song to him.
Then on the 24th of November, I attented an assembly at Kades school where he got a leader of the month award. Every grade had a few students chosen for this. The teachers actually nominate the child. He got his picture taken with the other kindergarten students who recieved the award and it will hang in the schools main hallway for all to see.

I must say, i am a very proud mom!!!

Rylee Turns 2!!!

So on November 9, my baby girl officially became a 2 year old! I cant believe it. Time sure flies. Feels like yesterday i was still pregnant with her. She had a good day except for the fact that Jeremy had to miss it due to his new job. Im just glad she is young enough not to understand that yet. But we made the best of her day without Jeremy here. We had a little party on the Saturday before with my family and then my parents took me and the kids out on Rylees actual birthday. Then when Jeremy came home about a week later, we did dinner and another cake with his family. So Rylee kinda got 3 parties. :) What a lucky little girl....

Kade Turns 6!!!

On October 20, Kade turned 6 Years old. I cant belive how time has flown. He is getting to be such a big kid now. He chose to go to Joes Crab Shack for dinner with my parents and then on Saturday, October 24, we had a party with the whole family. He had a great day and got alot of fun stuff!!

Happy Halloween

This Halloween was fun because Kade had his first School Halloween Parade. It was so cute to go see all the little kids dressed up. He was dressed up as a vampire. Rylee was Tinkerbell and she looked so adorable! She had fun getting candy. Also my brother, Adam, and cousin, Jared, dressed up. And of cours, Jeremy was trying to steal the candy. The joys of being the parents of little kids who dont need alot of candy. :)

Carving Pumpkins

The kids had fun carving pumpkins. This was Rylees first year to really help out. She wasnt too sure of the pumpkin guts. Here are a few pictures of the kids with the pumpkins...

Corn Maze

Right before Halloween, Jer and I thought it would be fun to take the kids to a Corn Maze. We went with Jeremys sister, Chantel, and her daughter, Marynn. It was alot of fun. We are thinking of making it a tradition to take our kids every year.

Remember 9/11 - The Healing Field

We went to the Healing Field with my mom, my sister, Aryn, and her husband, Andy. Its a very cool thing to see and at the same time very sad. It was nice to walk around and just think about how lucky we really are. I watched my kids run and play and i couldn't help feel relieved that one of those flags does not represent anyone in my family. I feel sad for all the families that did lose someone on that awful day and my thoughts are with them on this anniversary. Tragedies such as this make you realize the importance of family and friends. Don't ever take anyone for granted because they could be gone in an instant. Tell those you love how you feel everyday in some way. God Bless all of you and to all my family, I love you!

Camping and Hunting

This weekend we went on our first camping trip of the year. A little late in the year, but its the first time we really had the time. It was also Rylee's first time camping. We got to camp about 6:00 PM and set up camp. Rylee and Kade had alot of fun running around and playing.
Once camp was set up we went road hunting since it is the bow hunt right now and Jeremy has a deer tag. We saw one two point buck and a few does. We went back to camp to cook dinner and Rylee did not like the dark campground. She was really nervous. Once we got the lanterns lit and the campfire going, she was ok. We roasted hot dogs and hobo dinners on the fire. So good! After dinner we let Kade shoot his new bow that we had gotten him. He thought it was pretty cool because it was his size and he could shoot it no problem. I almost think Jer was having more fun with it though. After shooting for a bit, it was off to bed.
We got up early the next morning for more hunting, but had no luck. It was still nice to be driving and seeing the mountains. Its so pretty up there. We went back to camp and let the kids play. Kade practiced his shooting more. Then we noticed a storm coming in so we hurried and packed up to head home. On the way down the mountain, Kade was watching out the window for deer and next thing we knew he was out cold hanging out the window. It was so cute. Great end to a fun weekend!

Fishing!

Today we went fishing and was Rylees first time going. We bought her a princess fishing pole and she loved it. If you touched she would tell you no and say mine! It was cute. The fishing was good. Jer put his pole in the water and by the time he turned around to get another pole ready, he had a fish. We showed it to Rylee but she backed away and didnt want to touch it.
The rest of the day was fun. Rylee caught a couple fish. Kade caught a couple fish. Jer caught a couple fish. And for me, i caught alot of fish! :) Probably about 10 or 12 but i let alot go cuz they were little. Between all of us there fishing, we brought home 8 good sized trout. We are gonna have a fish fry with Jeremys side of the family later this week to enjoy our catch, but ill probably will be eating steak or chicken. :) Out of the 8 we brought home, only 2 of them were not from me, Jer and the kids.
We all had a lot of fun as you can tell by Rylee's dirty face and Kade's smiles! Hope we can do it again soon!

Kade goes to Kindergarten

Today was Kades first day of school. I cant believe he is old enough for school! He was very excited when he woke up this morning. He got up at 7:00 am and asked if it was time to go. I laughed and said not for a couple hours.
Finally it was time to get ready to go, I got choked up and called Jeremy while Kade was in the bathroom. It was a lot harder than i thought it was gonna be! Jer told me it would be ok.
Kade was getting more excited until about 5 minutes before he left and he got really quiet. I asked if he was ok and he got teary eyed and said he was nervous and he was going to miss me. I smiled and told him i would miss him too but it was only for a couple hours and he was going to have so much fun learning and making new friends. That seemed to help because he was out the door and to the car before i could get out the door. He was all smiles from then on. When it was time for him to go into class he said goodbye and didn't look back. I went to the car and called Jer and cried again.
When i picked him up about 3 hours later, he was all smiles and said he had so much fun at school and he was very excited to go back tomorrow. Guess that is a good sign. I hope he keeps up the excitement throughout the school year.

Fourth of July Fun!

So for the 4th of July holiday we did a couple fun things. On Friday the 3rd we went to the Riverton parade and then on the 4th we went to the carnival at the Riverton park. After riding some rides and having fun we went and watched the fireworks that Riverton City does every year. Kade loves fireworks and he got some cool 3D glasses to watch the fireworks through. Rylee was kinda startled at first but then she didnt mind them and watched them a little but mostly wanted to play with the glow sticks that were given to her. It was a good time and i had fun spending it with my family. Here are a couple slideshows so you can see the fun we had!

Here we go again....

Well obviously I didn't keep up on this blog like i said i would try to do. Its been over a year now since i have posted anything. Not too much has changed.

I work for Roberts Crafts as the Frame Shop Manager. I do custom picture framing and i must say i really like my job. Its fun to create new ways to frame someones picture and other types of artwork. Ive been with Roberts for almost 3 years now and in the framing department for almost a year now.

Jeremy drives a dump truck for Construction Trucking. He has only been there a couple months and is enjoying the job when the weather permits him to work. That is the only downfall to this type of job. If the weather is bad, he doesn't work. Right now he is preparing himself for the archery deer hunt. He doesn't usually hunt archery but he did not draw out on his normal hunt. A lot of his time is being spent getting his bow ready so he can start practicing for the hunt.

My son, Kade, is now 5 1/2 years old. He is a very active boy and gives me a run for my money sometimes. He is starting Kindergarten this year and i cant believe that my little boy is old enough to go to school. Im kind of having a hard time with it, but i know its time to let him grow up. This past spring he played, for the second year in a row, T-Ball. He loved every minute of it except when dad would try to make him practice. But by the end of the season he was really getting good and im probably going to sign him up for the fall season.

My daughter, Rylee, is now almost 20 months old and boy is she a handful! She is getting big so fast i dont know where the time has gone. She loves to play with her big brother when he lets her. Most the time they get along great but they are siblings, so of course there are fights here and there. She started walking at about 10 months old and we have been chasing her since. She loves to be on the go and finding new things to explore or to just get into. But i wouldnt change any of it!

We recently went to the Zoo. It was alot if fun this year with both kids. Rylee was old enough to know what was going on. And last night we went to the Riverton Rodeo. Rylee thought that was cool to see the animals and Kade was finally old enough to run after the money calf. He though that was just the coolest thing ever!

Well i think this is long enough now so until next time.....
