Summer Begins

Summer break has officially began now that Kade finished the first grade with flying colors! He was very sad to have school end because he absolutely loved his teacher, Mrs. Tapia. Kade and his good friend, Noah, both came out of school in tears. I felt so bad. Guess its a good thing he had a teacher that he didn't want to leave. :) So now i officially have a second grader! I can't believe Kade is getting so big. Makes me sad to see my little man growing up but at the same time he makes me proud every day. He received awards for outstanding attendance and being such an awesome helper in class.

Kades last day of school ended at 12:30 and so we decided to celebrate by going to the zoo! We also invited his friend, Noah, to go with us. We all had a great time. They are having a dinosaur exhibit at the zoo right now so there are dinosaurs placed around the zoo. The boys thought they were so cool but Rylee didn't think they were so great though. She hid her face quite often going past them. Rylee loved all the other animals though and playing on the playground.

We also this past week celebrated Jeremys birthday since he will not be home for his actual birthday. First we went to dinner the night of June 1st with my parents and Aryn and Andy at Red Lobster. After dinner we surprised Jeremy with a new grill from me and my parents. He was very excited!

On June 2nd, we went to dinner with Jeremys mom and dad at Joes Crab Shack. They like to really embarrass people on their birthdays. They made Jeremy do the mexican hat dance as we sang to him. Good thing he is a good sport!

Then finally we had a bbq with Jeremys siblings on June 3rd. He wanted to break in his new grill before going back to Arizona on the 4th. It was a lot of fun.

We had a great time with Jer home this past 10 days. I miss him when he is gone and so do the kids a lot. But we make every moment count when he is home.

Happy Easter

Our Easter celebrations started the night before. I invited my parents, my sister and her husband, my brother and his girlfriend, and my cousin over to make cookies, have dinner and dye eggs. It was a lot of fun. The kids really enjoyed making the cookies and dying eggs.

Then Easter morning the kids were very excited to see if the Easter Bunny came while they were sleeping. We went upstairs and the egg hunt was on! They had a lot of fun searching for eggs and their baskets. I was quite emotional because unfortunately Jeremy could not be there with us. He was still in Arizona for work. I did the best i could to give the kids the best Easter possible and i think i did pretty good because they seemed to have a great time. They loved everything they got from the Easter Bunny!

Then we went to my parents house to hunt more eggs and have lunch. The kids had a good time searching for eggs in the backyard. It was a great way to end they day. Great food and great family. I am thankful for my family being there for me and my kids and helping us have a great day even though Jeremy could not be with us.

I hope you all had a very Happy Easter!

Time for an update

Well its been almost a year now since i have posted anything on here. Here is what has been going on since last year.

Kade finished Kindergarten and now is in 1st Grade and doing amazing. He loves to read and is at the top of his class in his reading level. He is now 7 years old and a very active smart boy. He makes me so proud.

Rylee started taking dance classes last fall and she absolutely loves it! She had her first recital in December. It was so cute to see her on stage! She is now 3 years old and she definitely keeps me on my toes. She is very girly and loves to dress up and walk around in heels. Not sure where she got that from!

Jeremy now is working for a company called Boart Longyear. Its a drilling company and he works on a drill rig drilling for many different things. He really enjoys it except for there is a lot of traveling involved so it takes him away from us alot. I am learning to get used to him being gone but it isnt easy.

I am still working for Roberts Arts and Crafts where i do custom picture framing. I am the manager over the frame shop and the department head over the framing department. I really enjoy what i do and the job is flexible so i am able to take care of the kids since Jeremy is gone alot.

Last September my mom celebrated her 50th birthday by taking the whole family to Disneyland! We had an amazing time. I was so excited to experience this with my own little family. My kids had so much fun. Rylee got to meet her favorite character, Tinkerbell. I almost cried seeing how excited she was. Kade got to meet a couple characters as well and he got to ride every ride there. He wasnt scared to try anything. I even got him on Space Mountain. He didnt like that one so much but at least he can say he rode everything that we all rode. And of course we all got to meet Mickey Mouse!

While in California we also got to take the kids to the beach. My dad really wanted to let the kids see the ocean. Rylee didnt want anything to do with it but kade thought it was really cool and he loved looking for shells!

Thats all i have for now. I will try not to wait another year for another update!
